Trigger warning- mention of assault
I would like to be in a committed, respectful, loving relationship. I've had that desire since my teens.
But after my assault 3 years ago, I'm terrified of the idea of physical intimacy and the trust that goes along with that.

that is totally understandable and while it may be hard to see now some survivors of an assault often have success with therapy ........or just meet someone whom you feel trust and acceptance and in time be ready for intimacy. many things in life we all wish did not happen or wish we could forget but they are ever present and we learn to be at peace with our demons.
