Feeling like a failure

Chronic illnesses really have me down lately. I feel like I’m failing at life. I want to be one of those people who have boundless energy and motivation who always seems to have themselves together. Where I’m an anxious, exhausted mess most of the time.

Can anyone relate and maybe have some strategies that help?

Friend!

Well - you are describing my dream in your sentence:"I want to be....." I'm very ill (unfortunately with ME/CFS - lack of energy). So many losses my friend - have not been outdoors for one year because I cannot walk very long distances.

@FranPine007 I can relate to feeling down about having chronic illnesses and exhaustion. I know someone who has several illnesses (and can't walk very much.) who actually went to Disney World. She rented an electric scooter for the trip and rode the scooter around Disney World. She doesn't have a car but uses Uber to take her places. I had some friends who were very active and going to many places ,they just couldn't understand when I told them that I couldn't do these activities. I realized that these high energy friends might not be a good fit for me anymore. I may look for friends (at zoom meetings) who like more low key activities like meeting for a cup of coffee once and a while.
