Ideas for Coping during Quarantine
Hi everyone! My name is Tara, and I'm 42. I have not being doing very well during lockdown. I have fallen into a major depressive episode, with a lot of anxiety. I am trying to be postive. I would appreciate any ideas for how to cope during the isolation of lockdown. I would also appreciate any support for dealing with depression and anxiety.
I went back to school, and graduated right before covid, and have not been able to find work. I'm trying to stay positive, but if anyone can relate I'd really appreciate it if we could connect in this thread. Thanks!
One thing that has helped me lately is meditation.

Hi Tara! I'm really glad to see you have decided to become part of our community and seek for support! ❤️
I totally understand how the current situation may have impacted many of us mentally. Staying positive and hoping for the better is the right attitude! ✨
I have found staying connected to people online and safely meeting others during the pandemic being really beneficial for my mental health. Also keeping daily walks whilst respecting social distancing is essential!
Here are just a few ideas you may like to follow, coming directly from the UK government, regarding what you could do in order to cope well during COVID and support your well being. I hope you find this helpful!
@Ines1229 thank you for the suggestions!

Im not a listener on here or anything but one thing that has helped me is positive hobbies calling freinds etc i think its a good way to let your mind take a break from stress and worry
Anyway i hope you get better Happy 2021
I don't have many ideas to take my free time in quarantine .. I often and actively use Internet resources. I am interested in sports, so I was looking for something in this style. I found a sports site like this - https://1xbit.in/ Some people place sports bets here. This is a completely legal business now. But I was attracted by the fact that there is always a lot of the latest information from the world of sports. I can find links to live streams without a lot of search effort. It's more interesting for me than watching TV shows ..
Congrats on graduating! Stay positive and remind yourself that its temporary. Tap into connecting with friends and family. Continue doing things you enjoy and consider trying new things that will challenge you. Meditation is a great tool that I recently began to use, along with painting, and watching painting videos on YouTube. Plus the background music, usually classical piano, is relaxing. You're stronger than you know, you went back to school and finished! I wish you all the best!
