I’m feeling so heavy. Have you felt like this too?

It’s been around 6 months since I broke up with my ex. In the beginning, it was super hard for me to accept it since I was still madly in love with him and I just couldn’t do anything anymore. After a couple months, I think I did finally get over him - but something just happened.

I went on a trip to a nearby city with my best friend a couple days back. We partied throughout and visited all the happening clubs. I dont think I’ve ever had a better holiday in a very long time. I met this dude in a club there and we ended up vibing so much. I don’t know if it was the alcohol but I ended up feeling way too attached. It’s been like two days since I left the city and I just have this strong sinking feeling. My chest hurts and I don’t feel like doing anything anymore. I don’t know what happened. I think about my ex and I feel lonely again. I dont even think it’s about my ex in particular at this point - it’s just a strong feeling of loneliness. I really don’t know what triggered this, I was doing perfectly fine before this holiday.

I have so much love to give and experience but I have no one. My friends are amazing though.

@honestLion1994 Hello! First off I want to say, I understand how you are feeling, I have been feeling the same way about my ex too ever since yesterday, something triggered me and I started crying about him and thinking what went wrong. Ever since yesterday, I’ve felt this sadness all over again, like I just had got broken up with all over again. It’s the worst feeling especially when haven’t been crying about him for months and then suddenly, I started crying :( And I hope things get better for you, remember that it takes time and it is okay to cry about it :( If you ever need someone to talk to, always here to help! 🤍

I think maybe it isn’t the person you mourn but having someone to fill your heart.

I suspect deep down there are broader issues to work through in order to reach a default place within yourself of simply being happy with yourself.

When we sense a loss that isn’t attached to a person but the symbolism of being with someone, we run the risk of letting people

come into our lives and take charge of our emotions.

The answer to the way you feel lies within yourself..
