I am 40 years old about 10 days ago I experienced a sudden change in my mobility. My ability to stand even holding on to something became almost nothing and the distance I could walk with a walker with a seat is laughable.

I have gone to the ER they told me to go to my family doctor and get an appointment for a spinal surgeon and a pain management clinic. I have an appointment with a spine surgeon in April. I saw a pain management doctor last week she personally walked me out of the clinic because I mentioned the issue may be due to a car accident.

I have reached out to many of my doctors and specialist the only reply I got was good luck.

I can’t be left at home alone because the first time I was i fell and couldn’t get up.

I am lonely and depressed

That is a huge adjustment to deal with .....

When you say MAY be due to a car accident ... was there an injury or insurance settlement you will need care....

what else could have caused that sort of damage... that was not progressive.

I can't imagine what you are going through. A sudden change in life can totally create intense feelings. It is great that you have come here and reached out. Hugs.

I am really sorry to hear about your story. The only thing I can tell you is that: Do not give up! Even if the world gives up on you, you do not give up on yourself, we are all trying to fight, this is your battle. And you will overcome it!

Find your WHY? why your still fighting, why still living, even because of the beautiful sunny day, yes, or the scent of a cup of coffee, or the love of a family member...

I am Christian, and for me the Why is Jesus. I do feel lonely and lost... I cry, but I know why I keep living, that assurance that I am being heard, for His love for me endures forever. Find you why.

I deeply pray that you will find recovery, believe it will happen and it will, stay strong, I will not tell you good luck, I will say be blessed

I'm in the same position you are. I'm 38 and lost my mobility as well. It's so hard to go from doing practically everything for yourself to having people having to help you do the most simple things. It doesn't help that they make you feel bad for asking for help. I'm literally crying right now because I was just told the reason for this happening to me is my fault. That really hurt my feelings. It's not like I don't already beat myself up but to have your family, your mother of all people, to make it worse is crippling. I really feel like it would be better if I wasn't here. Relieve the burden from them and then I wouldn't have to suffer. I just wish I could disappear. Go to sleep and not wake up. I wish this everytime I wake up.
