Husband says he's no longer in love with me. Eventually he wants a divorce. He dosent want to fix the marriage. Says he still loves and cares about me but isn't in love with me. He also says he dosent want to leave until he knows that I'm ok. 🤷. I can't figure out what I should do. Or what he wants. But he says as of right now he's not going anywhere? Suggestions please.

Hi have u tried counselling and are both of u open to it. I think a marriage is worth trying to save especially if its not toxic or dangerous to any party involved. I think the 80/20 rule is true. And sometimes we focus so much on the small portion we not getting. I hope this is something u can work out.all the best.

Then let him go. I know it may be easier said than done and that i should take my own advice but here’s to hoping you are stronger than me and can do what I could not. You know that you are an amazing intelligent caring and wonderful human being. Your husband is a good man and he isnt leaving you high and dry. You will be well cared for. You deserve someone who can love you heart and if your husband isnt that person anymore then you should let him go.

Being "in love" and "loving" are not the same thing. Most long-term couples for a while are simply content to be together and share the same affection as they do with their children, replacing the more romantic feelings of the first few years. Maybe this is something your partner doesn't catch.

Of course, there are a lot of circumstances we do not know about your couple. You sound as if you did not see this coming and must be greatly distressed. If you choose to chat with a listener, there may be information that could be looked into and one of us would be happy to look things over with you.

However, I am impressed how honest and even caring he is with you. He seems to be wide open to discussion, therapy or not, if you can be as transparent with him.

Let him go, dear. He doesn't wanna fix it, you said. He wants a divorce. There's nothing more to do, but say goodbye. Why prolong it?

I'm divorced. I know it hurts, but you can't make someone love you. I look back and wonder why I ever chose my ex in the first place. He was lucky to have me. I still gotta deal with him once in awhile because we have a teenager. Can't wait until she's grown and I never have to talk to him again.

I know it won't seem like it at first, but you'll be happy without him someday. Good luck and take care ❤️

Sending love and caring to you, as you work through this. This is a stressful time; it is easy for differences to surface and grow. Me and my partner went thru a massive crisis just two days ago, and the conclusion that I've reached is: I can always close off my heart and physically leave/move out LATER once I've tried to understand/make things better/fall back in love. It's important to stick out the uncertainty and the hard feelings of rejection/hurt NOW--. Not running, or reacting with too much emotion, can actual lead to the conversations that are needed.

I agree with the other post, asking about what you want.

I hope that Husband is open to couples counseling, which can make a world of difference.

If Husband is not open to trying to heal the relationship, it's healthy to let go, and let yourself step into the role of Partner for yourself. Get a special ring to replace your wedding ring to symbolize your marriage to yourself. This is something I have done for myself that helps me stay grounded in self love and emotional presence for myself. ❤️

Thank you everyone for your support. I really appreciate it. As of right now he doesn't want to do any couples counseling. He's says he doesn't want to put anymore energy into the marriage. He's only sticking around for the kids. Because right now I'm having job issues. Along with some health issues and he doesn't want to leave the kids and I high and dry. As of now we're trying to be civil and live together as friends. We've just recently agreed to see other people, but to not involve the kids. The kids are all aware of what's going on. We haven't made any divorce decisions yet due to holidays.

It's definitely not an easy situation but I'm doing my best for the kids.
