Mom of adults

I think we need to accept kids as adults do not always come out like we expected....... sometimes even if we did our best to teach them / show them

my kids although close as kids have very little in common and do not get along or want to spend time with each other....

NOT adult. ing well is the the new normal IMO look around people who pretend they do not know any better or did not understand as a pass or an excuse.....

I'm 43 and I still struggle with adulting.

Your situation or your circumstances might be really difficult, and your feelings are valid, but your feelings do not define who you are. You are brave, for making this post. You are determined, because you haven't given up. You are a mom, and that means you have a lot of love for your kids.

I also have kids that don't get along, and I like to remind myself that even though I can guide them, or give them suggestions, or talk them through options, or try to enforce consequences - THEY are responsible for the choices they make. The only person I am really in control of, is ME.

Yeahh i agree with tiger, sometimes you really do everything you can and they don't end up as expected. Hopefully they'll find some common ground in future, i hope i dont end up like that it would suck
