Need some one to talk to.
I get depressed mostly at night. Feel so nervous because my son is growing up and I am having a hard time coping with this and feel like I'm loosing him. I lost my mom young so I'm just so afraid of loosing him or leaving him here alone.
I’m available to talk if you like. I get depressed at night as well.
my depression and anxiety are the worst at night. I’ll go to bed, get about 3 hours sleep, and it actually wakes me up.
i am available late night super early mornings , central time, if you ever need to talk.
If it helps at all- I have the same feelings regarding my son growing up (I have a 5yo & 10 month old both boys). When my oldest was born it was worse then this time- I was so worried about him growing up and not needing up to the point of severe anxiety and depression. It’s gotten easier, and with the birth of my second I feel that I’ve accepted it more and remind myself that it’s natural it’s life, and growing up doesn’t have to mean growing apart. That I am missing the little moments if I’m in my head worrying about the future. I’m still working and struggling daily to not feel sad about their growing up, and recently started try to use affirmations as a way to change my outlook on the future- I want to be the type of person who looks foward to what tomorrow brings, and excited for what’s in store… but it’s really hard to feel that way sometimes. And I realized recently part of that was before my children, I didn’t think I had a future. I was a mess most of my young life, only started becoming stable over the past 5-6 years. So now even if it seems silly I try to use affirmations whenever I remember to, and started letting myself dream up a future- even if it’s nothing big, or something most likely intangible. Like “when my children are older and more independent, I will have more time to draw”or “when the boys are older maybe I can open my own company. Or make one of their rooms into an art studio” lol! In doing so I realized I’ve spent my 29 years on this earth without having dreams for the future, or any idea of what o want a future to look like. So even starting to do so has really helped change my mindset on things, and it’s actually exciting to just take time to day dream about a future I would like to see for myself and my family. I’m sorry this was so long. I’ve been having a lot of anxiety and this just really struck home. Hopefully something like these affirmations can be helpful to you as well❤️
How are you
The fact that you are looking out to your son's future and care for him makes me feel like you are a good mom.. Parenting is probanly one of the hardest job specially in this generation. Spend time with your children as much as you could, be open, comfortable and make them feel safe to talk about anything. Make the most out of it. Kids or adults, thats all we ever want. A person who will not judge us but support us, understand us and teach us to be better people.
@mommay25 I know I'm late. But if you still feel down at night, then please do contact me... I'll be available for you any time and will gladly talk about anything. I'll try to enlighten your mood and will be there as a friend. That's a promise! :)
