Questions for independence from my husband.
We are on the outs of this marriage and my biggest fear is taking care of the finances, without hardly any income from him. I don't make as much as him and I don't know how much help I will get for paying for a House payment plus keep up on other bills we have together. With us eventually splitting up and going our separate ways I just want to be able to support my children. Any suggestions?

you may need to sit down and be brutally honest about your income and budget....
sometimes even if you get awarded child support granted that does not guarantee it will be paid ...... being able to make it on your income at least for a couple months is better then counting on income that may not come .....
is there ways for you to increase your income..... if house is big enough could you bring in a friend roommate to help pay bills .... lots of issues with that as well...
there is many many considerations do you stay in house? ....... some couples sell and split proceeds ... can you refinance on your income as sometimes when awarded house courts suggest you refinance to just your name...
are there bills you can cut perhaps lower cost internet/ TV things ..... are your phone plans together so many things you might not even think of ..... insurance on car .... health insurance payments on anything else....
It sounds like you wouldn't be able to afford the house, is that right? Do you have some family you and the kids can stay with until you get a place? When I was going through my divorce I took my daughter with me to my Mom's. Then 3 weeks later we got an apartment. Now we live in a townhouse. That's good enough for us.
Houses are nice, but you gotta do what you can do.
