Where is everybody?: The sequel
Hi Cuppies 👋 It's your old pal, SweetPea here. Bored and lonely as usual. I'm having trouble viewing the "Where is everybody?" thread, so I figured I'd make a new one. I prefer to use the app instead of the website. On the app it stopped showing responses.
So here we are again, ready to turn up on a Monday afternoon (or Tuesday if you live in Australia).
Oh yeah...where is everybody?
Taking my kid out to Arby's for dinner. I really need to go grocery shopping. Anyway...the guy who rung us up works everywhere in this town. First we saw him working at the hospital, then Walmart. Then he was working at a different grocery store and now...he's at Arby's. Boy, he really gets around! He's keeping this town running lol.

I'm glad you got to enjoy a meal with your kid. My kids would have chosen Chickfila.
We've eaten out a couple times recently, but I'll be going grocery shopping while she's in school tomorrow. She likes to act foolish in Walmart, but so do alot of grown-ups I guess. The last time I went and was standing in customer service there was a guy swearing about it taking too long. Is it just me or does everything take forever? Just be quiet and do the impatient leg switch dance like the rest of us, I thought 🤔
Hahahaha. Yeah be a decent human and just roll your eyes and shake your head but stay silent in your protests 🪧 lol.
He sounds multitalented! Doctor, Store Manager of a big box retail, Manager of Grocery store and also owns a Arby’s! 😜
I want to go to Shoney’s or Country Kitchen Buffet 😂 Arby’s too, but they are the 3 I know from popular culture reference’s. What’s the big Aussie Chain Outback Steak House of something and you guys love the blooming onions 😂. So I’ll have to try American Australian food just for laughs!
I've never been to the Outback Steakhouse, so that'll be a first for me too. I wonder if the servers put on an exaggerated aussie accent 🤔 I worked at a drive-thru and me and this one guy would dare each other to greet the customers in different accents to entertain ourselves. Then I became the dayshift manager somehow 😄
Funny, it was started in the 80s by two American guys that never came to Australia! Hahahahah. Looking at the menu it’s not really Australian food it really is more American cuisine from looking at the menu.
You guys went a bit Australian mad in the 80s with Crocodile Dundee. Slap another shrimp on the barbecue 😂
I liked Crocodile Dundee and the movie Shrimp on the Barbie with Cheech Marin 😊 Have you ever seen that one?
Speaking of the 80s...tomorrow is 80s Day at my daughter's school. The kids are supposed to wear 80s clothes. I was thinking of dressing my daughter up in plaid pants with suspenders, false teeth and a little walking cane, but I don't think anybody will get the joke.

Awww, you’re so sweet. I’m surviving thanks. Been having some triggering things happening lately but I’ve been managing them okay and just been focusing on working to distract myself. Not to mention you are also a wonderful distraction for me, I look forward to logging into 7cups and seeing what you have had to say 🤗. So I’m doing okay thanks and thanks for asking and being such a good friend. I hope you are surviving ok too. How was Arbys? I hope you got me a Corned Beef Ruben meal and a Jamocho Shake and some Reece’s “sweet”Peanut Butter cookies 😂
I gotta check on my favorite cuppie and make sure you're ok 🤗 I'm happy to be your friend. I bet we'd have fun together in real life if we met. I'm surviving too. My daughter keeps me distracted and there's always 7cups to check out. I always look forward to seeing what you have to say too.
Ok honestly...Arby's is mediocre lol. It's ok. I'll let you decide as I send you your meal, shake and cookies 😄 The shake will probably melt and the food will be cold by the time it gets to Australia but hey...you'll get your order.

I really think we would enjoy each other’s company a lot too. We are two slightly irregular peas in a pod! 😂
It will probably be the same temperature that I get my normal Uber Eats delivered, foods always cold and thickshakes are melted milkshakes. 😂. So it will be just like it came from here anyhow.
Im sure it’s all so packed full of preservatives that it will still be good to eat… have you seen the 25yo cheeseburgers 🍔 😳

25 year old is still young though. That cheeseburger has its whole life ahead of it. It can still get married and have kids and live to an old age 😄 Seriously though...gross lol. Why did he keep it that long?
Hahahah. Yeah I don’t know to be honest… the story was that his mate said save me a cheeseburger for when I come back and he never did so they saved the cheeseburger in his honour and it escalated from there. 😂
I hope the guy eats it. I wanna know if it tastes good with all those preservatives 😂🤣

Gold Coast is beautiful but crazy busy these days so I avoid heading down. Nightmare traffic and having to go through Logan is enough to put me off the drive 😂

@SweetPea321 Disney's Aladdin (the 90s cartoon) is a classic. It makes me miss Robin Williams, RIP. The soundtrack won awards in it's day.

I was watching the original cartoon Aladdin. I've never seen the live action. Not sure if I like all these remakes.

Happy hump day! The work week is half over and Friday beckons. What are you going to do for the weekend? I'll be staying home, playing games with my daughter and going for walks/bike rides. Today I decided that life is ok👍

Who wants to hear my psych ward story? Nobody? Ok, I'll tell it anyway. So earlier this year I took a nice vacation in the psych ward when I was overwhelmed with stress. We couldn't have our phones in there (which I discovered that I'm addicted to my phone) and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever laid on. I met some interesting characters in there. One lady thought she knew me and I didn't wanna burst her bubble so I just played along with her. She called everybody "pukes" at first and I thought she was a little scary. Apparently I worked at U.S. Bank and we used to ride the bus together because even though I had a car, I wanted to save gas. She went on to say that we traded flip flops (or thongs lol) because the ones I was wearing were my "bad luck shoes" and I kept tripping and falling over 😂 After she said that, I looked down at her feet and thought...does see not notice our difference in shoe size? 🤷♀️ She ended up giving me a self help book because I was crying.
One guy wanted my ice cream bar and I was going to give it to him, but the nurse said we can't do that so he tried to get me to sneak it to him a little later while the nurse was watching! I felt awkward with her watching us so I said no, I can't. Then he flipped out and started swearing loudly. I felt bad that I couldn't give him the ice cream bar.
Then yesterday I saw another lady from my psych ward stay at the gas station. As we crossed paths our eyes met, and we both smiled but didn't say anything. It was like we didn't want to admit that we knew each other lol. Weird huh 😄
Once again it's Friday Jr. and it's getting colder in Minnesnowta. Right now it's 41°F so I guess I'll be wearing my coat while I stand outside waiting for kiddo's bus. Next thing you know, I'll be making that army of snowmen that I always wanted to make.

Awwww, you have a pretty voice… it’s weird to hear your American accent…. It’s like I logically understood that you would have one but in my head you sounded Aussie I guess 😂.
