I'm far away from turning 30, but I just wanted to know your experience. Advice or idk just a story that changed your life. Something you would have liked to know in the your teens or 20s

Ooh this is a tough one. I'd say live in the present moment. Don't dwell in the past, or be worried about the future. Just look at what you're doing right this moment... Pay attention to it and enjoy it. If you're in a bad place in this very moment, then embrace that. Don't run from the feeling or try to cover it up. Don't distract yourself from it. Just truly feel it, sit with it and acknowledge it. The feeling will have less power when you face it and feel it. When I feel really bad i imagine myself as hugging myself. Inviting the bad feeling to sit inside me with a cup of tea. Tell it I'm not afraid of it, I am it's friend and it can stay until it wants to go. It usually passes muuuuuch quicker this way. So yeah, that's my big advice! I spent years covering up negative feelings with distractions like relationships etc.

Honestly this is the best advice! It’s something my therapist has taught me and it’s something I’m still working on. I’m in my late 30s and just now learning to “feel the feelings” and the negative emotions really do pass faster than if you try to avoid them or distract yourself. Let yourself feel hurt, angry, etc., and just observe that you’re feeling that way (without building stories around it), and don’t forget to have some self-compassion that it’s perfectly normal to have these emotions. This was all such a hard concept for me to understand but I feel like I’m finally getting it at almost midlife lol.

Ahhhh, coming into your 30's..... I dreaded this number, thinking my life as I knew it was over. I'd be old, and sore. I'd get grey hair, wrinkles and get boring
In fact, the opposite happened! I have found that my 30's have surprised me with the feeling of freedom and self-acceptance. I'm comfortable with who I am, what I want and how I go about achieving any new goal. 30 is your time to really become who you are. You've spent all your years prior working towards this point, and knowing that you're more confident and in control of your life is incredible
I will say though,..... you do creek and crack a touch more and healing from a sore neck/back takes just a little longer;)
Dont fear your 30's! Enjoy what's left of your 20's and get ready for the time to fully become you!🥰

totally with respect, I have to say that this is kind of funny to me. Asking for advice from people who are in there wise old 30s… Most of the time I do not feel like I’m in my 30s. I really feel like I’m still in my mid-20s. So what I would really say and I don’t mean this to sound cliché or a phony, but please understand that the time goes by insanely insanely fast. My best advice for you? don’t take time for granted. Do the things that you really want to do.
