hi, everyone. i'm thirty five but i still live at home with my parents, as i have a lot of mental and physical issues that really prevent me from being on my own. my parents went away on vacation last week and i've been going through major anxiety, i was really struggling even before they left and then i got worse after they left.

i'm awake at 4:16am because of a panic attack, now i'm laying awake stressing about everything instead of going back to sleep. i suffer from depression, anxiety, germ-centric OCD and panic attacks, as well as physical health issues that have gotten worse (i'm not eating among other things).

i'm really struggling trying to get stable and shift into living mode instead of survival mode - where all i'm doing are basic human function tasks and nothing else. i have no faith in myself and i can't make decisions on my own. i'm hanging on by a thread without my parents here.

@limegreenTriangle1462 naturally we suffer mentally if we are not satisfied with ourself. You had dreams, plans. And even if they became some ashy, they are exist right now. Let's think basic. When we plan or imagine to do something, brain gives some hormons ( call it energy) to blood to make us motivated what we plan to do. This hormones gives us pleasure, energy, motivation etc. For example if you stay hungry for long stress hormones make you strssed, and you will have a big motivation to find food. Sometimes we find hard even so small tasks but if we are in danger, or we are expecting a big pleasure things become easier and we do happily, without tireness. Till orgasm people don't feel tireness, fear, or pain much. And do what they do with a great effort without any conpliment if they getting joy. So...

Motivater energy is a magic but if you don't run that energy on purpose, plans; it will became a negative energy, black energy what ever. İf you plan to do somthing and don't, you will suffer mentally. I suffered for a long and I can say in confidence (make a list what you wanted to do, planned or imagined to do and you didn't; DO THEM. you will see the magical results. Even if you forget, subconscious don't.

Some people get anxieties because they are alone and have no one to help them, don’t forget about women, we are the stronger half, so we have that ability to break through barriers, I’d suggest getting a girl first, this way when you do face life away from family, a other half can be there to encourage you, and restore your confidence. For it is written.

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Proverbs 31:30

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.

Genesis 2:18

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

Proverbs 18:22

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken

Ecclesiastes 4:9:12

Best places, libraries, gyms, coworkers, church.

I too find great comfort in talking to women, have to eb closer as even a friend can splice anxieties and cut worries in half, in life there is a lot of grief, but their love is our relief. As long as you’re respectful the best thing to do is upper up with a woman, who gives us warmth, a shared joy is a double joy, a shared sorrow becomes half a sorrow.

That’s one outlet that I think we all need.

It’s good you’re here for support. A one on one chat with a listener or therapist here might help. Just the fact that you are reaching out for help is good. Some deep breathing might help slow down your mind. There are some crisis phone lines and chat by text services that may also be helpful.

All the best
