Changes people face by aging

Hello community! heart

Aging often means to face changes. It can include physical and social changes, sometimes it’s more difficult to find a new job or to plan a new goal in one's career.

Those that had children could see them less because they now have their own family and could be located far away.

Altogether these things can lead to negative emotions as an effect of the changes.

Although it could be positive to be an active part in these changes, trying to avoid suffering due to the changes could be tiresome.

For example, It could be good to find new hobbies and interests, to socialize with new people or to enjoy things with our partners because they may be less busy with career or in raising children.

A key point could be to look at the time alone as a me-time moment, during which it’s possible to enjoy what one likes and to see the beauty in simple daily things.

I hope everyone finds their way to improve their well-being and emotional state of mind.

‘’There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love’’

@Sunshine4691

Hello there, how are you doing this week?

Yeah, some sympthoms for menopause can be challenging.

Good point improving the nutrition and to give space to healthy exercising!

@LoveMyRotty

1. What are some emotional effects of aging you are experiencing?

I sometimes see an older woman in the mirror and I don’t like it.I am having a harder time meeting a significant other, too.

2. What could help you keep enjoying life at best ?

Lots of things, most of which are on hold right now or are in the works.My life has been upheaved in the past 7 months.I am living with a family that I was estranged from.We are all moving to Florida.I only decided to join them in the past week.So I am working out how to maintain what is best with me while living with them and in a new state in a new climate.Covid has also put the kibosh on a lot of socializing, so when that is done I will try to socisalize more again.

3. What’s something new you have discovered that you really like doing?

meditating

@purpleTree4652

Hello purpleTree4652!

It seems like you are in a transitional situation, with some goals in hold, also due to pandemia, and some changes that brought you in a new place.

I hope that things will go better along the way, with all aspects of your life. One step at a time.

A big hug!

What are some emotional effects of aging you are experiencing?

I am not as good at dealing with depression. There is less to fall back, less to look forward to. There are fewer opportunities left for happiness or relief.
