Hi Cupsers! 💕💕

In life there are things that bother us and cause stress! Always examine whether it is something you CAN control.

If it something that you CANNOT control consider releasing that stress because you cannot affect change on it. Journal or set boundaries such that those stresses are a lesser part of your life.

Those that you CAN control well that is the sweet spot. You can make choices to ensure you are the best person you can be … we all EVOLVE and when we know better we do better. This GROWTH allows us to attract positive good things to our lives.

Which items listed below are the toughest and easiest to control? What helps you deal with this stress? Does knowing what is out of your control helpful?

What helps you deal with this stress?

Lots of things! I journal, mainly to not carry things around with me or inside me, but also to get out those sides of me that conflict or at odds inside me, one side/part wants one thing, the other wants/knows something else, so I give them both attention and equal space in my journal, as much space as they need to come out fully and "pass". Then I give both side validation and acknowledgement and move on to something else.

Listeners help a lot with stress! I don't really bother much with the things I can't control, I get that already and let them be. But I do have a hard time making my decision about things in my control, finding the right team to help me implement it, replacing things that I already dropped that don't work for me and adding new/different back in that hopefully do... when they don't or I can't decide or I still don't find/am not finding the help/team I want/need, listeners really help alleviate the stress and put it all in perspective.

Quotes like this help too: "It won't mean a thing in 100 years"...

"The only thing constant in life is change."

Journalling is a fantastic way to express your stress and release it. Validation and acknowledgement both are perfect companions. 💕💕

7cups community is pretty fantastic. So glad you found a community here.

Quotes I adore! All my posts are usually quoted and of memes …great way to destress!

I collect the quotes I love and put them in a jar 🫙 or book 📕 or pretty box 📦 and when I need them browse them. 💕💕

Thank you for sharing!

Which items listed below are the toughest and easiest to control?

How I speak to myself, what I give my energy to, and my thoughts are the toughest for me to control...The easiest is the goals I set for myself

What helps you deal with this stress?

I have a terrible problem dealing with stress. With stress comes anxiety....they go hand in hand....I'm still learning and finding ways to deal with them both at 51 years old lol....7 cups helps a lot....another thing I'm trying to incorporate into my thought patterns is the 5x5 rule..If something won't matter five years down the line, don't bother wasting more than five minutes obsessing over it. But I still over analyze that too......

Does knowing what is out of your control helpful?

If its out of my control it makes it worse. Being somewhat of a perfectionist doesn't help what is out of my control either. I feel I need to be able to control every aspect of my life. I plan for disasters.....emotional/physical/mental/life disasters....I think the proper term is anticipatory anxiety....

Yes our thoughts is the hardest to control. Goals help set up success for short and long term. These goalposts help guide us indeed.

I love that 7cups is helping you. 🙌🙌😎😎

This 5 x 5 rule I LOVE ❤️ it helps with perspective. If something won't matter five years down the line, don't bother wasting more than five minutes obsessing over it. Repeating it again bc it is brilliant. Thank you for sharing that it will help others.

Anxiety, stress and over thinking still continues but you get better at managing these feelings.

Glad it helps somewhat to know what is out of your control. But I understand it is still a challenge. You do protective view against stress coming up to help you cope.

Thank you for sharing you always have lots of great perspectives. It helps others in the forums. 😎😎😎
