Relating with children who are adults now
Sometimes it’s hard to find common ground especially when you live far from each other.
@NatureNurtures You can try to watch some children's movies, like marvel, and Disneyland, and you don't always need to know what are those children talking about, you just listening, give them some smile, and try to tell them your story, and Try to get your child interested in you。
@NatureNurtures
Finding common ground is definitively much easier when you're close together and participate actively in each other's life. Do you have regular contact on the phone or on apps where you can see each other?
Thank you for responding Ami 😄
Our only child is 31 years old and lives in a different country with his wife. They are coming to town soon for visiting. Part of the problem is that my husband is ill and this son doesn’t call or ask often about his dad.
I know it’s not personal. He loves us but has a ‘quirky’ personality.
Their marriage last year included just the two of them and a photographer; no one else, lol. They got married at sunrise by a lake and then went kayaking in their wedding clothes 😄

I haven't got this far yet, as my daughter is only 12. But im sure that moving forward in the future, it will definitely be this way and i can see myself doing this because of how much i love her and miss her<3
it can be a challenge and i gave them plenty of space....
because in my own world my Mom wanted to run my life and i wanted them to not think i was too nosy or pushy ...it can be fun if you can separate yourself a bit and not rush in with advice and suggestions..
