The expectations I set for myself and the drastic changes I had to make for my health.
I think overall I do a pretty good job of acknowledging the successes I have made. Still, this path I'm on is far from what I would have choosen and it's hard to not be able to work towards the goals for the path I used to be on.
The unexpected setbacks are also hard.
I just need to keep working on it as I have been. Be ok with giving up on a goal when something changes.
Sorry that you had to make those expectations and drastic changes due to your health. It is hard when we have to do that. Lots of us do have to change our path that we wish we could have done or be in our life due to various reasons being health, marriage, kids, setbacks, other outside forces out of our control, etc. That is awesome to hear that you are acknowledging the successes that you have made. Like your determination to keep working on things and adaption to things as things do need to change. Proud of you and keep up the great job.
@AffyAvo
My main barrier is my inner voice. That voice loves to point out al my flaws and shortcomings.
I try to counter what the voice says, but if Im tired, busy or dont feel well its harder.
@DanaMH I mostly have positive self esteem. One barrier at times would be fear. For example,am I doing this right, what if they don't like me. What helps? No matter what I keep trying.
@DanaMH
My barrier was once (they might still be remnants) things I was told when young, long time ago. I learned with time that those were false information.
You probably have been doing checking the facts now with those thoughts.

@DanaMH
My main barrier was a toxic relationship (20 years). I have been no contact for 45 days now and am working on building my life again. Part of that is rooting out negative core beliefs about myself and the future.
Sorry you went through that but that is good you are starting to work on building up your life again. Yes, core belief are very important. There is also a forum thread here about Core beliefs.
