When Time is Short
Well I have been referred for hospice.
I am kinda I have been telling everyone for some time what was up and I am being met with NOOO this cannot be.
I have multi-system failure: systemic lupus, two major heart conditions, partially collapsed and fibrotic lungs and other conditions.
This is happening at 55 due to massive medical malpractice in Florida, so bad I moved states before the Florida healthcare system finished murdering me!!
Docs here were OMG unfixable mess so I have been receiving palliative care for awhile.
If I had been treated when things cropped up I would have years of life left. But Florida REFUSED treatment over and over and over so here I go to my death at age 55!!!
Visit Florida don't live in that crazy banana republic!!
@RogueOne1983 I'm da*ned sorry to read/hear about this...it should never have happened as it did.
Gotta say it was also a bit scary to read, as I currently live in Floridastan...
@RogueOne1983
Hi RogueOne1983, it's heartbreaking reading your post. I am more than sorry 😔. I hope that the love of this community can alleviate for a moment the pain you are facing, we are here when you want to talk.
I don't live in the USA so there's nothing i can say to discuss with you the situation in detail. I am just shocked to see how things are going downhill also over there.
Medical mistakes happen everywhere unfortunately, but the sense of lack for care from the healthcare system is incredibly increasing worldwide. Not good at all.
Please take good care for yourself.
A big big hug for you ❤️
@MeaningfulSilence thanks much it IS medical culture.
I worked as a courtesy shuttle driver at a hospital with a huge campus.
One patient in tears said she sought treatment for heart issues. She was in a homeless shelter. Security made her leave: she showed me her arm still with an IV in it!!
I said get in don't say anything I will handle this she did that.
I drove her to the ER did not have to fake outrage. She was escorted out does not have discharge papers still has an IV in!!!!
I saw her later she said no they didn't do anything but remove the IV but thanks for trying.
It was irrelevant what was wrong she was poor so they kicked her out! People with wounds that weren't even bandaged right, other examples!! Why am I nursing the street population as if a combat medic???
No not at all alone in this!!
@RogueOne1983
So sad, so unfair.
Feels like a very dramatic scenario nobody knows about. Didn't know about the situation being so horrible .
I see how it all impacts on you emotionally, it couldn't be otherwise 😔
@MeaningfulSilence yeah Florida survives on tourism that is bad for tourism lol
@RogueOne1983
Yes I understand, it could become a negative loop.
thank you for supporting people irl and on here, you are a caring person 😇
@RogueOne1983 I'm so sorry to hear this. Totally unacceptable. I would be beside myself with rage. Were you refused care because you didn't have health insurance or were low income? It's insane what this world is coming to.
I don't live in Florida, I live in a northern state, but I experience my primary care provider minimizing my concerns. Including recommending I do something I know is flat out and obviously bad for me, and she should know that too but for whatever reason pushes x on me. I don't think I can fully trust her, but anyway. It's really scary basically feeling like there's probably no PCP I can 100% trust?
@RogueOne1983 😞 I don't want you to die😢 are you scared? Do you believe in heaven?
@Tinywhisper11 big hugs yes I do believe in Heaven going Home.
We both know evil is so real. So Good and Love are too, and I am going Home to where Love lives.
Where Love lives, that's always Heaven.
*more hugs*
@RogueOne1983 ❤❤ stay strong sweetie ❤❤ know you are loved very much, down here and up there. If you see my son tell him I love him, and will be with him soon ❤
@RogueOne1983 сонце сідає what one says when it is time to go.
