We all want serenity, that elusive state of calm, peace and composure. People with serenity can enjoy life more. What does serenity mean to you and how can you improve it?

Yes Serenity sometimes is most elusive!!

For me, Serenity is a balance between weather, responsibilities, and needs. I want weather to have a mild amount of variance but not far enough that would require change. Such as Not so hot that I would need to put on the AC. Maybe open the windows or turn a fan on. But not the AC. And in the other direction, I don’t want to put on the heat. Maybe put a blanket over the shoulders or drink a hot liquid like Tea or Coffee.

Responsibilities are extremely important to day to day living. Without responsibilities sometimes we don’t have a purpose. Kind of Mom’s and empty nest. In my Serenity the Responsibilities would be sweeping my front porch (small enough for a comfy chair and bistro table). A couple plants in remembrances of a few family and friends. They will need to be looked after. And my Puppy (All dogs are puppies). He will need to be feed, walked, petted, and will need to help me. I will need to be reminded that there is love in the world.

Needs, while being bullheaded, stubborn, narcissist, over critical, and stupid with over thinking. I will need humans. As much as I enjoy (which have very very little time) my alone time. It is unhealthy. As much as I don’t enjoy most of humanity, I know it is unhealthy to be 100% alone.
So how does one have Serenity when dealing with humanity? Painfully, but I think it would be best to say in small quantities. Like a nasty tasting medicine, you pinch your nose and swallow quickly. Maybe have a chaser after it LOL.

“… How can you improve it?”

I think first, let us get to the serenity within the chaos of forced dealing with humanity. Here I am not even hour into my work day and I am wanting to be alone … NOW with my puppy. Puppy brings balance and calmness.
