Do you feel you’re living in a senior friendly environment?
Where I live is a mix of ages. I am in my late 50's and live each day as I am given. Although age is a number I live the day as it is given to me. Sometimes I feel young sometimes I do not
If not, what would you like to see changing to accommodate older folks better?
I always try to help any age but with elderly people I offer to help neighbors or a stranger it shows them that not everyone is only out for themselves. I was brought up to respect my elders so I explain that to them and they tell me how good I was brought up.

To live the day as it is given to you is a wonderful approach to life in my view!
Nice that you learned that respect from young age. Sometimes it's truly hard to see how disrespectfully they are treated.

I do not feel that I am living in a senior--friendly environment at all.
For our own personal house, which was built in 1955, I have gotten a nice kind gentleman from church to install some rails leading down both the front and back door stairs, which are only about 3 - 4 stairs each. The rails have been a life saver. I got a next door neighbor, who is a licensed constractor to also install some hand rails in our bathroom and that has also saved many a fall.
As for more pertaining to the question regaring the area and changes for seniors, I would like to have the crosswalk signals that you push at the intersection at the end of our neighborhood street, where you then cross the main road. Both I and he have been run over crossing this intersection, along with others, whom some did not live through it.
I would also like more lights and clear paint on things around here so that it can be seen better by us with older and poorer eyesight and also by all the speeding drivers and the drivers that just run all the signs and crosswalks. Some cameras would also be nice, that are in all the other richer areas of the city. Then, there would be irrefutalbe proff of what all they do and about kill so many of us.

What you describe sounds really scary! I hope that there will be solutions soon. Is there anyone you could turn to in order to get help like the maire of your city or even the newspaper so that awareness about the issue is raised?
Getting those rails fitted is a great idea!
