Words impact our health, positive words help us to get motiviated but extreme words are limiting our motivitation. Today's question is:

How often do you use extreme words like always, forever, never, should, can't, impossible ...?

'use extreme words like always, forever, never, should, can't, impossible ...?'

Years ago, I have used some of these words on myself , my family , people and situations I came across in my interactions. But not anymore. Thank god and thank the beautiful soul who enlightened me about how these words will effect my conscious and subconscious mind plus the effect / impact it will have on me and my relationships and outlook on life. I learn and am still learning ,the power, the wisdom and the beauty of words .

I like that quote "the words you speak become the house you livein". Words have power so it's very important to choose the right ones to support us and others.

I am really feeling down and alone. I turn 57 next Tues and am starving for love and intimacy. The time I could really use 7 Cups it seems to be all but shutting down.

@bgdave Hi Dave I'm a new member. This is my first post actually. I have the opposite problem. I very often wish I was completely alone. I don't ever say this to my dependents - a happy demeanor is a critical part of the role, but it's not how I feel inside. If I could, I would live alone in the woods. Maybe with a cat.

Hi and welcome to our community smiley. I hope you will find the support you're looking for here, we are happy you joined us. Sometimes life just gets too busy. Do you find like you need some downtime, just some time to spend with yourself and care for your own needs?

@AGander Congratulations on making your first post. Having space for youself and all by yourself is really very energizing and this trully helps you to cope with the buzz and going ons which takes place when you have to share your space with others.

@bgdave

It's tough to face the day when feeling lonely and not having anyone to talk to. HUGS. Some rooms like member community room and 24/7 support room are open all the time, have you tried one of them or even talking to a listener?

May I ask what kind of activities do you have which might help you to feel better as well?

How often do you use extreme words like always, forever, never, should, can't, impossible ...? I use always and forever occasionally with my girlfriend, the other ones I rarely use.

I would rather talk about words that are flexible and allow possibilities and options.

@soulsings

Nice soul, flexible words do not limit us but also allow our mind to search for options.

Just recently I started paying attention to those very words and I've been trying to monitor myself to omit them

@powerfulwoman63

Awesome! It happened to me too that I used them without being aware of it so by paying attention to the words we choose we can actually change our thinking.
