Feeling more-or-less okay, I think. Mildly accomplished for having gotten my new laptop fully configured in well under a week. It's almost completely scripted at this point.

First half of this week is pretty busy, running errands for/with the housemates, none of whom can drive at the moment. I don't think I have any long-term goals; for the moment I'll settle for surviving the next year or two.

@stressBear

Well that's a good thing and something to be proud of so that you can work with it. Laptops became so important in doing work nowadays. Nice that you still find the time and energy to help others.

We do not always need to plan for the next decades, sometimes it's just fine to imagine or plan what can be done in short time. Hope things will turn out well for you.

Whats your main goal right now? My main goal in life at this time is to be living in the same house as my girlfriend.

What are you trying to accomplish? What I really want to accomplish is to marry the girl.

@amiablePeace77, it's not very likely. She had a very bad marriage for 12 years and to this day she doesn't like the idea. I have done as much as I could to change her mind. Even tried living with her (very nice). I do have one last idea, but even I am not thrilled by it.

@Offmytrack

I am very sorry to hear that. It's great that you are such a patient person and supporting her. Hope that things will turn out well for you both. What would be your last idea if you feel comfortable to share?

@amiablePeace77, selling both our houses and buying a bigger one to live in.

@Offmytrack

Sounds like a good idea, and maintaining one house is also less work and cost (unless the other one is rented out)

Oddly enough, I'm feeling emotionally ok. It's the physical side of things that could use a boost. This week, the third week in September is "Peak Week" for Doctors who are treating allergies and asthma. There are more Asthma Attacks in this week of the year than in any other according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. And I believe it. I have been struggling to breathe for a couple of days now. I was just diagnosed with Adult onset Asthma back in April, but if I told the trruth, I could have had it a year or so ago, I just didn't get tested. There have been a lot of changes in my life since Dave died last year. I don't even recognize my life anymore. Somehow I became fat. not sure how that happened. Actually I am sure, it's the result of 20 years of psychotropic medication. I knew I didn't want to take those pills.

@mooboxer . Thanks Moo! I'm still getting used to using a Peak Flow Meter twice a day and just figuring it all out. I've pulled out all my Pathophysiology books from when I was in nursing school. It's been a while, but I'm starting to understand what goes on in the body when you have asthma. Thanks for the kind words. Hope you are well too. Enjoy your day.

Asthma and allergies are on the rise everywhere in the world, it's just awful. Sorry that it affects you too, it can be so tiring when the breath does not come easily, particularly in combination with an allergy. I am glad to hear you're emotionally okay and hope things will improve for you.

@amiablePeace77 My main goal is to not spend half the day worrying about health problems and things that I am not able to do anymore. I have been saying affirmations today: Everything will be okay and I'll get thru this. I will try to focus on what I am able to do instad of worrying about the things that I can't.

Branch, awesome!. I am a great fan of positive affirmations and try to tell them to myself for abt. 20 min. after waking up. It's like making an "imprint" in the brain so that they become automatically the first thoughts after waking up. :)

Ok. It's another day. What are you trying to accomplish? I'm trying to adjust to my situation and become even and rather boring in the areas of physical movement, eating, sleeping, and really everyingthing I do. Health is a very global concept. By saying that I mean that our health is effected by litterally everything we do. From food and physical movement, to what movie we choose to go see on a Friday night, what political crap we allow into our environments, and even the perhaps well meaning but missing the mark memes that our "friends" post on Facebook. We have to choose what we want to let into our lives.

@Cammiecat

I agree, we have to choose what we want to let into our lives. If I look for the positive in things my mind will be positive, if I focus on the negative my mind will be trained to think negatively. If I look for appreciation from the outside I might, I might not get it, if I learn to love myself and look for it in the inside I will get it.
