Sometimes we have a lot of plans for the weekend and somehow they do not materialize, maybe the weather does not allow it, maybe something urgent came up which has to be taken care of.

We are renting some movie from Red box tonight and grabbing dinner somewhere to bring it home to eat.

Dana that sounds so cozy, dinner and watching movie and best thing - everybody gets a rest, noone needs to cook hehe, wish I would have been there. What kind of dinner was it?
@amiablePeace77 We decided to have pepperoni pizza. But then the snow hit hard on Sunday night starting at 10pm and took the power out for days. Good thing we have a generator and made a fire to have hot chocolate a lot. Our neighbors liked the fire we had and cooked on it several times. Reminded us of snowmobiling. We also cooked on the BBQ.
I know it's not much, but instead of rushing to get to the post office after I went to Walmart... I said to myself, it's been a long week, the post office can wait till tomorrow...
I gave myself permission to have a night off, so I stayed a little longer, looked at and bought stuff I wanted, needed...just generally had myself a little retail therapy, and grabbed some good food for dinner.
Now I'm sitting here having my relaxing dinner and doing...well...nothing. Permission to let my frazzled mind REST.
Tomorrow...post office and one other errand, then...back to doing Nothing of importance for the rest of the weekend. Haven't gotten to do this in a long time.

I love that idea. I have got to do that to recharge my batteries...it's on the list for next time. 👍
@amiablePeace77 this weekend I visited my mom and helped her with chores she could not do. I kept a positive attitude by remembering that helping her is a way to give back for the ways she supported me as a child and since then.

Soul, that is wonderful. To me it is very important to remember all the nice things a loved one has done for me. There were times we received more and there are times we give more and that is okay.
