What is the best thing that happened today?
Took my dog to the vet. Several doctors there, met a new one today. Brought up my dog's allergies again, and maybe there is affordable help for her this summer. She suffers so much. I'd tried everything and gave up long ago. Hope. It's a good thing!

There has been a chore being passed around a certain "community" I'm in and NO ONE wanted to do it. Just as it was about to be "tossed" again, I (figuratively) said, "Good Grief, Charlie Brown"!
Now it's done!
I went to a funeral -- but was inspired.
@lindammarie sounds like you are facing death and seeing it is part of life. Life's ending is something that I have had to slowly face over the years. The hardest thing for me is the loss of a parent. They cannot be replaced although I have had mentors in my life that lead me and inspire me.
@soulsings - What you are saying is true. I have faced an inordinant amount of death during my lifetime (or at least if feels that way to me). The "death" I am facing right now may be the death of my youth. I know that chronilogically I may not seem that "old" to some, but I'm sensing that I am being perceived as "older" and am being "left out" on several levels. I know that many changes we go through present themselves as death and resurrection, but it's unusual (in my experience) for a funeral to go beyond surface level...
@lindammarie yes I think the death or loss of what we identify with is as painful as losing a loved one.
Just when I get good at one age and start to feel comfortable, it seems that life moves me onto a new phase and I have to reorganize myself and reinvent myself. But life is never boring.
I got out of the house and went to the museum I was so tired from going out last night that tonight Im staying in becasue I walked so much yesterday and today But I am proud becasue my goal this weekend was to do the items I put on my list and not talk myself out of it!!!! YAY me

This weekend I did many chores around the house, mostly outside, and feeling good about it. Of course, there is never enough time to do everything I wanted to do. I am used to that.
