@amiablePeace77 my dad oten had me working with him on projects in the summer but he would take a break and take me water skiing and that was a fun tome we had together.

Becoming a rare thing to have or be a good father figure in a life. Someone has an abusive father... and the trauma and hurt the child got from his father just affects him and may also be abusive and dysfunctional... it is a cycle... that got to be broke.
I think, the most important "career" in our life, is to be a good father... or to be good mother. Fathership and mothership.

I agree with you that being a good parent is the most important "career" in life. It’s how we can ensure that the next generation grows up healthy and strong.
I guess for me it was the first time I felt a human being trust me fully to protect them, love them and put them above myself.

I saw a Fathers Day video that hit me right in the feels.
A female mechanic on Donut media 'Borrowed' her Fathers 1975 Chevy Nova named Charlie. It had been on blocks for over 20 years, because when she was born, her dad stopped working on cars to take care of his girl.
Stephanie restored her Dad's old car top to bottom and put in a new engine too.
Then she gave her Dad the keys.
Brought a tear to my eyes.
