No. 5, not only because of Chanel, but because I am an optimist and do not panic or get sad until someone tells me there's a good reason to. Nothing beats being at peace with yourself (and happiness is in fact.... quiet) before you are at peace with the others, including those who are likely to cause trouble in paradise. The older I get, the less I cry. I've got a fcck-it attitude which suits me.

Peace ☮️ is the best thing about ageing. Peace for yourself and peace with those you interact with is a gift. 🎁

In fact, the older I get, the fewer boundaries necessary. They are flexible anyway.
I agree crying can be therapeutic but I just can't. There were many instances I should have, but also several where it turned to laughter and amazement.
I am at peace with most people, maybe even everybody. I just hope they all are at peace with me as well.

My favourite rule is #4, but to the time and energy I would add memory assets 😉
The best advice I've ever got? Things like "Do NOT marry her" or "She is NOT a girl for you" said by the relatives who really knew me or my sweetheart. But at least once they were wrong saying the opposite thing...

If you do something you enjoy & are struggling to make ends meet, how much will you enjoy it? If you do something you enjoy & are unable to pay down your school debt, how much will you really enjoy what you do?
I don't have to deal with it anymore, fortunately. But I struggled with school debt for years after getting my worthless B.A. It wasn't the only source of anguish during my twenties but it wasn't a minor annoyance, either. And my debt was a hill of beans compared to the debts current graduates have these days.
Enjoyment/contentment is for a hobby, not a career. If you like to play music, don't try to assemble the next great alternative band...the odds will not be on your side. Get a guitar & strum it during your days off, & do something that brings a regular paycheck. The first priority should be financial security; once that is arranged for, then think about what to do for enjoyment.
Sure, it's not a good idea to stay in a job you hate. If you truly can't stand your job, then either switch to a different company/location that has better colleagues or find a different line of work altogether. But a job is for paying the bills & keeping your kids fed & in shoes, not for personal fulfillment. If you're a religious person then go to a church/mosque/etc. Don't look for a "fulfilling" job, because if you make that the #1 requirement for your work then you'll probably wind up not getting paid very much. With the kind of expenses we have in these days of sticky inflation, a college student who chooses a major for any reason other than employment possibilities isn't much better than a fool.
Yes I understand agree 👍 more than fulfilling because it determines your stability in life financially.
did a dietetics degree and ended up teaching high school in rural area and the pay was low but changed careers to health promotion consultant in community health much better pay. However I adored teaching even though lower pay.
