Relaxation: A Key to Better Mental Health and Well-Being
Good Day 50+ Community and All Our Friends Too! 🐱
Taking time to relax after a long day is essential for maintaining good mental health. When we’re constantly on the go, stress can accumulate, leading to burnout, anxiety, and even depression. Relaxation allows our minds and bodies to rest, helping to reduce stress levels and restore balance. It gives us the space to process emotions and release tension, promoting better sleep and improved mood. By incorporating relaxation into our daily routines, we create a buffer against the pressures of life, supporting emotional resilience and overall well-being. #MentalHealthMatters #StressRelief #SelfCare

After dinner and the kitchen is cleaned my way to relax is to grab a book I am reading and escape into the book. I envision what each page is like a movie of what it is about.

I am a mid-western transplant but I was raised in the Big Bear area of California, so I have an innate love of nature. My favorite way to relax after a long or stressful day is to go for a walk and just "notice." That is my mission, to notice an unusually shaped or colored rock, to notice a bunny run across my path or a squirrel barking at me from a branch, to notice the carpenter bee who is working diligently on the facia of my workshop outbuilding (and not be angry with him...). That is my way of de-stressing. 💗
