New here. Found this site through NAMI. My loved one is having some difficulty and is currently living with us. The trigger is that when I was my loved one's age, I had some similar stuff going on but now have got through it. Without a lot of help, but with good friends who I can now recognize were very tolerant of me. Reconciling my then-me with my now-me is my current journey as I attempt to do my best to help my loved one without being overbearing or smothering.
@AmaryllisBlossom - welcome! I'm new too, but wanted to say hello. I'm trying to figure out how to best use the site. Hope you are finding it helpful.

It may be May but it sure feels like September. All this rain and cold and gloom is really getting to me. Not to mention having everyone underfoot 24/7.
My second marriage seems to have hit the 12-year roadblock and its really getting me down.

I needed to chat with 5 different listeners. I guess I didn't chat long enough, some only i answered chat 6 0r 7 times. I needed to chat 10 times with each. I was told I did chat long enough. There still might be other things I need to do also.
@impartialDrum1848 I think that the chats with each listener have to have 30 different texts. let me know if you still have trouble getting into the room.
@impartialDrum1848 Hi welcome to 50plus. The 50plus room is a pop up room. This means that it only opens up for discussions. The room opens 10 minutes before discussions which last an hour. Discussions are usually Monday 2pm est, Wednesday 4pm est, Thursday 3:30pm est and Friday 5pm est. Also 50 plus has open chat on Monday 6:30pm est and Friday 6pm est..You can also check Community Calender. I hope to see you there soon.
