What boundaries have you changed in your life?

No lending or giving of money - I had one "friend" in particular who took advantage of dertain weak boundaries of mine and stole several hundred dollars from me, over forty years ago, when that sort of money went a lot farther than it does now.

What do you no longer want to deal with?

Other people's drama - I won't get involved with other people's disputes. If they want to argue, fine, but leave me out of it.

How has these new boundaries freed you and improved your mental health?

I feel safer and more at peace.

What boundaries have you changed in your life? Not sure if this is considered a boundary or not. I stopped going to public places, stopped hanging out with co-workers during off work hours, and only do things with my girlfriend. I find myself always involved in some sort of drama when that happens. My acquaintances(I can't say I have any "real" friends) have realized this and stopped asking me to participate, which is just fine.

What do you no longer want to deal with? I no longer want to deal with other peoples drama or issues. I just want to be the grumpy old guy on the front porch that everyone avoids. More peace in life when you are left alone.

How has these new boundaries freed you and improved your mental health? I think I have worked in a "peopling" profession, with a certain type of clientele, for so long that it has effected my outlook on spending time with people in general. I honestly can say I'm happiest when at home alone, happier when I'm with my girlfriend, my kids or grandkids, and least happy when I'm out and about....living this way has really helped my mental health....

What boundaries have you changed in your life? What do you no longer want to deal with? How has these new boundaries freed you and improved your mental health?

I've set boundaries with people to prevent conflicts. I'm no longer doing things when I really can't because it fits others better. I feel much more empowered and not guilty anymore for not having left me behind to help them.
