A friend of mine was recently hiking with his wife and young daughters. As luck would have it, he needed to go to the bathroom, but he was miles from any facility. So, he snuck behind a tree to do his business. About 30 min later the youngest daughter stops walking and drops her pants. She proceeds to pee on them because thats what daddy did. That set off a family discussion on best practices for going to the bathroom in the forest.
@Zengrl oh yikes, that does call for a course on Adaptation 101.
Would you classify this as a trick or treat?

Happened a long time ago, when my daughter was quite young. She, my wife and I had gone to visit my wife's mother; who lives 450 miles away. I drove the whole distance. That night, my daughter was bored and wanted me to play with her. I was tired. She said "Be a cat, Daddy!" so I got down on all fours, and proceded to roll on my side and pretended to sleep. My daughter said, in her most indignant voice "not OUR cat!"

@SoulfullyAButterfly I had this teacher in high school. She was energetic, had a loud voice and prominent presence. She was literally the type of teacher to shout from the 4th floor during school festival preparations. She also had a favorite color she wore, and considerable height, so she was impossible to ignore. Perhaps it's because of these charismatic traits that she was appointed as one of the disciplinarians at school. She could have been in HR if she wanted. Anyway, she commanded the respect, or at least the slight intimidation, of our entire batch.
This one time, though, we were having science class. She stops mid-lecture (or at least, it wasn't clear that it was over yet) and calls my name. The class fell silent, literally so silent you could hear a pun drop. I didn't do anything and my classmates knew me as the quiet one. I sunk in the front row seat assigned to me, heartbeat feeling louder than everything in the room or corridor.
Then this teacher follows up with, "nice shoes". They were in her favorite color.
Trick and treat.
