@Jill7cups There are several, but one that jumped out at me was "Belong to me" by Marisa de los Santos. I read this book many years ago but it's one of my favorites because I remember being glued to the book and being very emotional while reading it, I tend to get lost in my great reads. It taught me to be open to the unexpected, to welcome change in my life with laughter and to let go of things I have no control over and just enjoy life. heart

@Jill7cups - Thank you Jillian. It would have been but I think I fell asleep on like sentence two. Haha. This happens when I first get up in the AM too, so perfect time to read? .... ?? Maybe 1:00-2:00pm? I watched parts of the original Disney's (animated version) "Beauty and the Beast" as well (though that was last night). You know .... how the Beast 'gives' Belle an entire library!?? Yes = the tie in for World Book Day. And the sheep that tore her page? Grrrr, you sheep! At least a few of them listened to Belle tell them about the story :) Yup, I love that movie wink Okay, off to bed, off to bed (Cogsworth). Good night yous! ~ Platy

@Jill7cups I think I have read it at least 10 times. And I always cry at the end.

Today it's Aurelius' "Meditations". Such humility and authenticity in his writing, and knowing his life makes it even more impactful. Whenever I stumble and spend a couple days kicking myself for 'being human' I read a couple pages. Breathe, it'll be all right.

I always enjoyed werewolf and vampire stories, But teenagers today just don't seem to get the whole dark aspect and make them seen more as... Beautiful creatures (I.e. Twilight ~Shudder~) When in fact they are Rather dark creatures with there own social structure and eating habits -_-...

There are only two authors that seem to get vampires at least a bit right (atwater rhodes and Darren Shan) For my preference. Now more then likely you Have different preferences and I don't mind that, your story, your choice, right?

I like book and articles about art too like https://artscolumbia.org/essays/what-is-art-essay-42533/
From one book lover to another, look up fae and other creatures, look them in detail, see how you can bend them. Try to base some creatures on dreams or nightmares, let your mind flow and don't stress, writers block will happen more often if you stress.

The Holy Bible has changed my life and millions of other people's lives. Proverbs was written so as to be from Father to His children, and I wish I has read it sooner because the insightful wisdom can and does help me avoid the sinful deviant people's evil plans.

The bible teaches us not to lean on our own understanding because without our Lord leading, we will follow the wrong paths that lead to imeasurable suffering.

1. LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?

2 The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart;

3 whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others;

4 who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the LORD; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind;

5 who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.
