I always have someone from my family come and visit me in Chicago either for Christmas or New Year. 🙂

My work schedule is kinda hectic, so I havent been able to visit them in Michigan, so they come here. 😀
my all-time favorite holiday tradition is going out to see the christmas lights! something about the sparkling lights, frosty air, and the closeness of family just makes me unexplainably happy!!
Me and my daughter make christmas cookies, and cupcakes on the holidays
1) My frieds Candy Cane punch, and gingerbread cookies.
2) Starbuck Peppermint Mocha and shopping
3) Watching the movie White Christmas with my husband
Sleep and watch tv series, movies and stuff :)

My wife and I get a huge bunch of cedar boughs from a friend every year that we use in place of a Christmas tree (too many animals to knock it over), and we spend a day where I wrangle them into vases as our main piece, add decorations around the apartment. We always make a tradition of drinking egg nog, holiday style beers, and watching a completely un-holiday happy movie (two years have been Magic Mike, and Magic Mike 2) :P I look forward to that goofy domestic time all year.

Jill every holiday season I take myself out to town, walk along the roads, listen to the bells ringing, to the music someone is playing and take in the smell of fresh baked pastries.
spending time w important ppl as well as eating. food is life.
