It is so hard to ask that of someone who set one's mind not to like anything anymore...😔😔😔 it is is sad having to dig back or dig down through the dust of time to remember what mafe us happy...now, nothing anymore...😔😔 sorry about the negativity, not all of us can be brain washed positive and cheerful and ladidah...😔 for some of us it does not work...

@soulsings all my therapists did not understand that. I know all the "theory" and know by default what each one of them is going to tell me but has any of them gone fishing with me, or biking, or diving, or hiking, or for a walk in the park? When I asked them, whill you come with me outside instead of a session, i pay you the same money, tgey put their eyes down in shame...it is loneliness that is killing my spirit Souls, I battled cancers and many other things, but loneliness is getting me bit by bit...i am not one of those "lone wolves" to have the mental stamina to jpurney life on my own...

Have you checked out meetup.com if that is in your area. Have you asked your therapist to go for a walk during your sessions. Not sure of your age but have you looked into senior centers in your area which have lots of things to do with others.

Your therapists have signed oaths of no personal contact with clients. Their licenses depend on keeping that professional relationship. It is not that they do not want to it is that they cannot.
I take a lot of comfort with socializing in discussions at 7cups. we do a good job of trying to allow everyone a place to participate in discussions as well as keep the discussions a safe place to be. It does not solve everything but it is a start.
@soulsings if you allow me to disagree, they keep the safe confort of their cabinet, not their oaths. One of them asked me if my father can facilitate her European funds and 4 out of 5 of them broke their oath of confidentiality selling my info to my parents fir money. It just seems we have different views of theralists Souls, that's all. You had good, beneficial encounters and defend their professionalism, I have to be on the other side and tell it like it was. And really if I had any money anymore I would have payed tripple for a therapist who will have our sessions while I fished or a therapist who will have a session with me in the botanical garden, or another at a gellateria and coffee shop or a book tea shop. Not the ones I had: one who slept during my sessions because it was too late in the day, or another who kept attempting to hyptnotise me (really now?). That's why I am happy for you and others who have genuine helpful professional beneficial experiences with your therapists because that means somene somewhere really gets some help...

Sorry that happened to you. When I look for a new therapist I look on their profile page and if they have a web site read that. I also check out the reviews from others and interview them on the phone. Some therapist also let you interview them in person to see if you think it is a good match for you. Not sure if you have tried looking online for therapist that will do therapy online because some do which then you would just need an internet connection and a camera on your computer. Hope this helps some with finding a therapist that you can trust.
@DanaMH thank you for your resonable helpful suggestions and for your thoughtful kind answer. Finding an online therapist will defeat the purpose of my healing...but this type of therapy is very efficiently helpful...I saw a TV show on cable about people (mentors, not necessarily therapists but some also), who helped depressed people online by coaching them from different cultures, countries and different ways and I liked it that it worked for most of them. As regards"ratings" or word of mouth for therapists, those can be easily "arranged"...I can only judge by the second I meet them because I have an innate thing about reading peoples characters very fast when I meet them in person so I seldom rely on "ratings" or "reccomandations"...for my last oncological surgery I went to a very "respected" professor who proved to be prossecuted for corruption, took my money too and he did not even make the surgical procedure on me but just put one of his students to do it as I found out later...plus he humiliated me the first day I met him, I wanted to get out the door right then, because I read it on his face...

Very true since I have interviewed many therapist before finding the awesome therapist that I am currently seeing and that is terrible that the doctor did that.
@DanaMH I am glad for you...seeing things work for others makes me not feel like i'm living in some freak nightmare...some people are doing good...
Seeing people's vulnerability and seeing present, intentional self-care is pretty transcendent for me <3

Many things are beautiful to me, I often take photographs of things I think are beautiful or interesting in some way.
Sorry the pic is so large, it is small on my computer.
I have had a hard time finding inspiration in anything, I hope to talk to a therapist soon about this.

@Offmytrack here is a help on how to do inline jpgs
1) choose the picture you want to share by using Left Click (first finger) on it (until it is alone on the page and shows it's address on the web, and it's size).
2) Right click (Middle finger) and select "COPY" from the little menu that opens;
3) go to the place where you want to post it,, here on 7Cups there is a line of choices at the top of the Post Page;
4) at the far right, next to the smiley face is a square box with mountains in it; Left click on that. another little window will open over the one where you've been (or would be) typing .
4) at the top of the new window is a long little rectangle that says URL at the top; Right Click on that and the little menu should let you select "PASTE"; Left click on that and your picture address will show up in that little search box.
5) go to the very bottom of that "IMAGE PROPERTIES" page, and Left Click on OK;
5A) there are boxes that let you enter horizontal and vertical dimensions so you can resize picture
6) at the top of that window is a little X, which will close that window and your picture should show up on the window where you wanted it.
