Announcement - Our New Full Time Community Manager
Hello 7 Cups Community,
As many of you know, we have been working very hard to find a full time Community Manager for you all.
I am very excited to announce that @Kate will be joining the Community Management team full time. Originally, we did not think this was possible given Kates other commitments, but Kates love for the 7 Cups community made her make space for this role. Kate is able to join us as a full time CM starting in April!
Woooohooooo!!! This is a HUGE step for our community. As many of you know, I have been the only full time community manager at 7 Cups for over 4 years. To have another full time member of the admin team dedicated to the community is an incredible new resource and I know Kate is the perfect person for the role.
Prior to joining 7 Cups, Kate worked at the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) coordinating their volunteer HelpLine for over 4 years. Since joining the community team part time in October, Kate has brought more structure and organization to our group support teams and initiatives. She has worked hard to ensure safe participation in the rooms and helped with the launch of Community Centered moderation.
In her new role, Kate will continue with group support, but also take on building and working with the teen community. Our goal is to bring more structure, leadership teams and initiatives to the teen community.
Over the next few days and weeks, I encourage you to pop into Kates PMs and say hi! Many of you already know Kate, but for those who do not, please pop in to say hi! She is waiting to get to know you!
Please join me in giving Kate a big 7 Cups welcome!

Congragulations @Kate! What exciting news for you. :)

Such an exciting time for everyone at 7cups!
@Laura
Will we notice a difference? or are our expectations too high?
There are still posts as follows being posted in the chatrooms, the word 'nasty' doesn't quite do the post justice:-
'exterminate the ****'
I think Admin needs to try harder to block such posters from this site permanently.
@Laura @Kate
Congratulations Kate, great choice and you will be brilliant for this post <3
