Feb 13: New Teen Mentors!

Hello Community! Today I'm very lucky to announce an exciting new group of teen mentors! Teens lets give them a warm and fuzzy and full of love welcome, all please join in congratulating these leaders in their new role!

1- Who are you?

I never knew how to 'define' myself if talking about it. If I'm being honest... I don't know who I am. Nor I know who I want to be! As much as I can give you are some facts about myself, likings and dislikings! Here in 7Cups I go by the name Mel, inspired in that old movie 'Melody' and because music is a big passion of mine. I'm from Argentina so Spanish is my first language. I started learning English as a kid using song lyrics and books. I like tea, even in summer. I'm a hippie and my friends always tell me I should have born at least 30 years ago! I'm definitely placed in the wrong generation! I love The Beatles but who am I kidding, One Direction is my guilty pleasure! I love cats and I would love to meet you as well. I'm shy but I try to be social at least. I enjoy long talks in PMs usually about the dumbest of things!

2- What do you help with or want to help with?

What I'm most passionate about here in 7Cups is listener quality and how the chatrooms work! I specially enjoy quality discussions (As the 'How to Handle' series or the Active Listening discussions!) and working with the quality coaching team! Before transitioning to the adult side, I was a teen star (4 tracks). So far, my favourite projects have been those related to help other listeners improve and get better in what they do! That being either in the chatrooms, helping mentees, with discussions, in the forums or in the blog! I'm very passionate about getting our listener team to work its best so we can offer actual support to those in need of it!

3-Why did you want to become a teen mentor?

I joined the site being 16 back in 2014. It's been my home during all of my 7Cups journey, I couldn't even imagine how my 7Cups life would be without that side and the people who I usually encounter there.

4- Cake or Cookies?

Erm, uhm... Cupcakes!?

... Probably cake. If it's chocolate with dulce de leche and peaches. Cake. Without a doubt.

1) I am Pat, a guy from Canada who loves languages and literature. I like to try and have fun in everything that I do. I am usually a bit silly but always serious when I need to be. I have a passion for listener quality and for helping others.

2) I currently lead the Listener Written Guide Project, the Quality Coaching Program, and the Mindfulness Support Team. I help out with badge application approvals, review flagging and approvals, Listener Topic Discussions, and Q&A response approvals. I want to help out with Teen listener quality :)

3) I wanted to become a teen mentor to better connect with the teen community and to help out with teen listener quality. I also wanted to become a teen mentor so that I could communicate better with members on my teams who are also teens and hopefully help my projects reach the teen side of the website more in general.

4) Cookies. I can't stress this enough. The frosting on cake tastes way too sweet for me. So I love shortbread cookies! Especially dipped in chocolate!

1. Who are you - I am MissZ, a German living in Sweden, with a love for books, philosophy, animals and music!

2. What do you help with or what do you want to help with? - I am a chatroom mentor, quality mentor, forum mentor, support team leader, chatroom mentorleader and group mod leader. I love being in chatrooms, I love supporting listeners who want to improve, just as much as I love supporting members. I want to help out on the teenside, to support the lovely teenstars and just get more involved on that side of 7 Cups.

3. Why did you want to become a teen mentor? - I have been an adult teen listener for quite a while and have also been modding and supporting teens in the teen group support rooms. Becoming a teen mentor just feels like the next natural step to take.

4. Cake or Cookie? - Cake! Always cake!
