A Talk on Self-Care with Moonlemon

December 23rd, 2021

Interviewee: @Moonlemon48

What is your idea of spending a balanced time on 7cups? Share your idea of how a good day looks like on 7cups, for you.

My idea on spending a balanced time on 7 cups would be not spending the whole day trying to work in different areas xD. For me, it would be spending a while on cups- supporting and a while working on the roles. As well as keeping real life a priority.

What challenges did you face in trying to strike that balance?

The challenge I face is that I cannot abide by it at all, I keep popping in and out a lot (working on that now hehe) because I feel what if someone needs support and what if someone needs help. People reading this, know that there are amazing people present to help! Take it easy!

How did you try to deal with those challenges?

I use the app sometimes(kidding, alot) so I firstly logged out from there so I don't get the urge to open it every 2 minutes xD. Then I started managing my time and figuring out the best time for me to use cups. I did all this by taking super small steps because as easy as it may seem it's not. Acknowledging that you have a problem takes a lot of effort and energy and baby steps here are okay.

What are the benefits of improving your balance for the time you spend on cups?

So a while ago, when I wasn't ready to acknowledge the problem, I thought yeah I'm just being lazy and finding excuses to not help others. And it used to take soo much energy to even form a proper sentence- it made me sound robotic almost. So I took a break (still on one :p) and started taking baby steps and reduced my time on cups. Now I see, that by doing that I am providing more quality support. Quality over Quantity.

What message would you like to give to the cupsers who have come to be negatively attached to cups, in one of the many ways?

I know it's really hard and I know sometimes it even seems to be our fault but trust me this problem needs to be acknowledged, it's not your fault. Take baby steps, don't rush it. Trust yourself and give yourself time to acknowledge and accept the problem. Cups isn't going anywhere, we will all still be here:) Your top priority *needs* to be you. Be kinder to yourself.

We have the first one here already, great job @Fristo , for starting this fabulous series ! ❤

Hey hey @Moonlemon48 , I am feeling so inspired honestly !

You've hit the right notes and I agree with whatever you've said, from how difficult it is to acknowledge stuff to the efforts one make, and from the validation that our lives should be our priority always, to the fact that baby steps are indeed okay !

I can see you're acknowledging the difficult part as well as making initiative to lessen the issue at hand ~ being overly attached and involved in cups , and I for one am really proud of you !

Thanks for sharing your experience , for being so honest and for your ultra sweet and validating message for all ! Baby steps always, yes ! We got this ! ❤

@Fristo @moonlemon48

This was such an inspiring and well thought-through interview. So many great insights about how to overcome 7 cups addiction. It was an interesting perspective to read about being lazy if you are not helping others. It shows what a caring person you really are.

I think it's important to remember I alone can't help them all, but together we can help many❤ Your effort (how big or small) counts.
