As 2022 begins coming to an end, it's an important time to reflect on our past year to really think about our feelings and experiences.

Below, feel free to reflect on your year:

What was good? What are you grateful for? What do you wish may have been a bit better? Do you have any regrets? Things you want to do better next year?

@EmmaE

Reflection is such a great exercise, thankyou for the post, Emma.

I'm reallly grateful for 7 cups and the community here (yourself included) for reminding me everyday what a better world looks like, and the power of kindness, compassion and hope. ❤

The detailed version I'll keep for my personal journal haha. :P

How about you?

What was good? I made it through the year in good health and I made some great memories and accomplishments that I am proud of.

What are you grateful for? Grateful for what I get to do here on a daily and for being able to support each of you!

What things do you want to do better next year? I definitely want to be more organized and intentional with my time.

This is a good question. However, for me - a man of faith, I probably look at things from a different perspective. For example, when reflecting on 2022, I - as a listener here on 7 cups find that there are many more people who come on here - members, who are suffering from loneliness, anxiety, and stress. I feel as though 7 cups is needed now more than ever. I don't mean to sound pessimistic, however, when you look at the world around us - we as a society are crumbling. We have much more crime in our cities and towns, and we have less people attending religious services. We have pushed God out of the way, and WE have become gods. Drug and alcohol abuse is on the rise as is sexual immorality. [removed] The family unit has crumbled to the point where we all eat meals at different times. And when we DO get together - instead of talking - we're texting. EVERYONE IS TEXTING. We don't communicate anymore.

Technology is a great thing - don't get me wrong. However, when it becomes such that we are obsessed with it, and we stop thinking for ourselves - we then are doomed. SO - what are my thoughts on 2022? [removed]

I think capitalism can be blamed just as much as decline in religious services. E.g. why families don't eat together, my hypothesis is they're enslaved to greedy corporations that - in order to eke out the last possible dollar for their shareholders - place more and more rules and policies on workers. Meanwhile the cost of living and housing in particular keeps skyrocketing. I dont see how most people could have time for family when they're trying so hard just to survive.

I am grateful for all the things that God bestowed upon all universe, especially earth and us.

I hope world becomes a good hospice one day, a place where all beings feel love compassion justice harmony peace generosity....

I hope and pray that people understand and care for each other more.

I believe in God in Islamic way, I wish merry new years for all people with different beliefs or nonbeliefs. I hope all people hug each other with so much love and mercy. May all wars, powerty, discrimination stop and goodness blossom everywhere.

I thought it has been a fun year, and if I could get a chance to do it again I would, it has felt like a long ride but I think we can slow down now. I was a good at writing about religion but because of the rules on this site I must change my ways.

@EmmaE - What was good? What are you grateful for? What do you wish may have been a bit better? Do you have any regrets? Things you want to do better next year?

this year, most of the good came from my amazing friends. i have made new friends, and gotten closer with others. i have found myself able to open up to those who mean the most to me. i have also found myself appreciating people in my life more, and i hope to make those people feel worthy. this year, i am grateful for all of my friends who have stuck with me through the thick and thin, even if our friendship seemed to be faltering. i am also grateful for all of the amazing friends i have made on cups. (@axtyn @naomilynn13 @astraeuss @ALeXaNdEr0712) i really appreciate them, and they have all helped me so so so much. omg- i wish so so so much would have went better. if i could go back in time, i would change the things i have said to people, and also change how i think about situations. i regret everything. next year, i want to care about myself more.
