Okay, I'm not trying to start a fight, but these are the best chocolate chip cookies EVER. Warning though - you will be tempted to eat half the dough and then feel sick afterwards (totally talking from experience).

My absolute favorite meal to cook is just a bowl of yummy RED LENTIL SOUP.

Why? Because it is so quick and simple and tastes so good and is so healthy and is so inexpensive!!!

RECIPE:

1/2 cup RED LENTILS

Rinse them in a fine strainer in a bowl of water and stir with a spoon to clean them off,

repeat three times quickly.

Put in a 28 oz. Corelle bowl like this https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=corelle+bowls+28+oz

Add 1.5 cups water.

Heat in microwave at high for 4 minutes until boils.

Simmer in microwave at medium low for 12 minutes (or whatever setting won't boil over for your microwave)

NO STIRRING REQUIRED!!! The Corelle bowl is so high that the lentils never boils over and doesn't need stirring.

Remove carefully with potholder when it's done cooking.

Use a spoon to mush the lentils against the side of the bowl to the desired smoothness you want.

Then you can eat it just as it is... and it tastes really yummy.

Or you can add all kinds of spices like cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, even turmeric.

And add 1 tsp of olive oil... and stir it all up... and eat it!!!

Or if you let it cool and put it in the refrigerator, and then it gets thick... and it can be used for a very yummy dip.

And the best part is... a 1 lb bag of Red Lentils only costs $1.49...

so 1/2 cup of dry lentils only costs like 30 cents!!!

And it's very health nutrition wise.... lots of fiber, protien, minerals... and more...

and it's only a medium Glycemic Load for 1/2 cup of dry red lentils so healthy by itself.

These make the best au gratin potaoes every time! I usually add some grated parmesan too, for extra tangy flavor

I got this recipe for apple crisp from lickyclover. Made with granny smith apples it is soooo delicious with ice cream! Just don't use the tool to adjust the servings, because it kesses up the flour. Found out the hard way ?
