Happy Mental Health Action Day!

Today is Mental Health Action Day! We’re proud to be a founding partner of the first-ever Mental Health Action Day and helped launch this effort. In the midst of a year-long pandemic, as many have been left feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, the time for action on our mental health is now.
That is why we want to encourage everyone at 7 Cups to take time today to focus on their mental wellbeing. Each of us can take an active role in maintaining and strengthening our mental health and the mental health of those we care about.
Follow us on our social media pages to stay tuned to some special posts filled with admin and ambassador messages, thoughts, as well as resources! We are also featuring student mental health as well as support for frontliners as part of our theme.
Here are some of our tips and ideas to take #MentalHealthAction today:
- Take a growth path step and work towards growth and healing with free skills and expert tips! Find our community paths here
- Consider trying out meditation by completing a quick Mindfulness Exercise - several listed here
- Visit the Sharing Circle room and share your progress in a non-judgemental space!
- Check-in with yourself and your loved ones
Are you ready to take awareness to action? Share how you are activating mental health in the replies!

I am activating mental health by...
♡ spreading the word about 7 Cups offline to those who are in pain
♡ taking good care of myself so that I can be there for others
♡ participating in normalizing talking openly about our struggles
♡ helping to normalize talking openly about mental health
♡ listening!
@Heather225
so lovey, thanks for sharing
1-I'm going to spread mental health day with the people that I am in contact with. I've already told them about 7 Cups and they think that it is wonderful to be here for people who need someone to listen to without judgment. 2-I'm going to take better care of my mental wellness 3-I talk to people and tell them that their mental wellness is very important and there are people who are waiting to compassionately listen and encourage them. 4-I am exercising more and it helps me to feel better and I will share that with others so that they can feel better also.
You too
@SoulfullyAButterfly
i am drinking enough water.
i am sleeping 8 hours each night.
i am checking in with myself and taking care of myself emotionally.
I am activating mental health awareness by:
♦ Supporting others both online and offline and decreasing stigma by normalising mental health issues
♦ Working on the online therapy sub-community to provide a warm and welcoming space for all
♦ Staying educated and up to date on mental health issues
For mental health action day, I have signed up for peer support role, submitted my room supporter training form, hosted a pop-up discussion in Special Events room, hosted a sharing circle; supporrted a few users on listener support group.
Also cycled a bit and finished discussion in GLDD training program
