1. Bipolar person can seem dependent on us at times and sometimes may not and do not want to see us around them. So, do not feel bad or upset. It doesn't mean that they do not want us or value our efforts. They do. It is just that moment they are out of mood.

2. Never judge someone with bipolar by their mental disorder. A mental disorder not define the real they. Anyone can develop a mental disorder at any point of life. So, try to be non-judgmental for their actions and thoughts.

3. Many think that a person to save himeself use the bipolar disorder as an excuse and that's not the actual case. They pretending to be. However, it is not true. They just letting you know that you could understand their issues and support them. They rely you.

4. Sometimes you may text or call them but they not respond you. So, probably you may feel they are egoistic or not want to talk or so on. We all have such thoughts race when someone not pick our call or respond to texts. However, a bipolar person appreciates that you remembered them and took time to call and text. Due to some reason or their episode, they not responded but they appreciate your gestures.

They probably have therapist and psychiatrist to help them cope up with it. From you, they just seeking a friendship.

7. Do not try to sympathize, be empathetic to them. Sympathy or pity can make them worse to cope up with this.

8. We all have different personality. Similarly, all bipolar people aren't same. The case of Bipolar person A can vary from Bipolar person B. So, what worked for A, may or may not work for B.

9. Sometimes a bipolar person tries to push you away from him or her but that is the time they need you the most. I know getting pushed really feel bad but if possible be with them in that time. They might need your care and support.

@ASilentObserver This is a fantastic resource for anyone seeking to know about BD and its several forms. It's also a good reminder for those of us that have Bipolar, especially about how to be kind to ourselves when we are cycling.
