What's normal where you live, but might seem weird to the rest of the world?

I'm originally from Minnesota so when I moved to north Carolina it was vary weird to have everyone wave hello to me even when they don't want to and over the years it just became a automatic response you could be walking down the street and just about every person you meet throws up their hand or just nods.
