What's something you do to relieve anger or stress?
@Hope
WOW, Great Question!!
I would say it would depend on the situation.
Am I agree because of a relational (spouse, sibling) or Work relation (co-worker), or environmental (driving, weather, etc)
The most complicated for me is the Relational one. It usually has the highest influence and most impact in my personal. So in situations of relational anger comes along, I like keep my mouth shut and go someplace alone scream into the void of abyss or take my motorcycle out and go for a ride where there is the least amount of traffic.
I think I need to work it through, because if I am angry is because something (or someone) is important to me and it is 'correct'.
IE: the person said something to hurt me, or I asked for them to do something and they didn't.
At which, I need to analyze what had taken place and draw conclusion to why the outcome isn't correct.
Now this method (which doesn't always working for me) I am sure, is not the best method. It has flaws, for in relational anger, it is needed to be discussed because we assume all parties in the situation don't want to revisit this situation. And/or had not intended to harm anyone.
@Hope
How about you?
@Hope attack vegetables.
During my 2nd marriage I was mad at our roommate. I noticed we had raw sweet potatoes in our pantry.
I grabbed a large cooking knife and we had homemade sweet potato fries for dinner that night.
I wasn't mad anymore and my husband who watched the process was OMG.
lolol
