Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. It is common to have questions regarding your academy program journey. It can be challenging to wait for a response so to provide speedy support, we have decided to have this one central thread where all academy trainees/interns can ask questions related to their academy journey.

Here is how to get support!

Respond to this thread with your question(s) and the program you are enrolled in. Remember, more information is better than less information. Provide context where needed so you can get speedy answers.

Who can respond to the questions?

Academy mentors, graduates, and even trainees if they are sure of the answer! Feel free to support each other and provide tips!

Make sure to keep an eye on your notifications so you can check the thread for answers.

This post is brought to you by the 7 Cups Academy Team, find out more information about the programs here

NEW - Are you an academy graduate or a mentor? We are looking for consistent/active leaders to respond to the queries on this thread. If you wish to spend a couple of minutes every week answering questions. You can sign up here!

I wanted to know how I could drop my internship and restart. I didn't do my best to work on the things I needed to graduate at the moment. I reflected on a game plan for restarting. I do have time but I don't think I put in my best effort this time. I supported some listeners, but I didn't do what I needed to do. I do have a method for doing it now and what I needed to cut out because they were distractions. Are listeners able to redo the internship, if not I understand.

@EliseLeaf

Hi Elise, It is possible to reapply! While we recommend that people consider extensions as a first choice so they do not lose progress for things like listening hours but if that is not feasible then you can submit the drop form and reapply at a date where you are able to commit to the program.

@Hope

I didn’t get to listen last week ( my first week) for my trial. If I listen the six hours this week, can I still be a listener? This is my second week in the trial. Can I ask for an extension, or do I have to start over?

@allnaturalSky4753 Yes you can sky. You can finish 6 hours this week. That would count

@Hope

For the two-week trial, you must earn 1000 cheers, hang 10, open doors, and listen oath. I already completed these things before starting my student track internship, do we redo all these things and try to earn an additional 1000 cheers?

@EliseLeaf That's not needed Leaf. That would be counted towards the trial

@Hope I have been a volunteer listener here and I have completed everything the trial week says, should I skip that part?

@HopeAura Yes, once the trial period is done you can directly submit the form. You can start working on the other requirements

@Hope Can someone please explain the Hang 10 requirement for the trial completion? I have everything else done but I have no idea how to do this. Please give details because I have been searching and all the links point to progress path, but I don't understand that either! I appreciate the assistance🙏

@1BraveBunny

You are at step 7! You only need to take 3 more steps here

It just means doing 10 steps on the progress path. Any path!

I am trying to figure something out. I am in this internship program and I am doing the four hours a week since one of my electives is to do one extra hour. However, I needed another elective and joined the quality listener program. I am going to listen for an extra five hours a week to graduate with honors. I just want to confirm that as long as I do both that I have to do 9 hours a week, is this right?

@allnaturalSky4753 That's not necessary Natural. The hours you do is applicable for both Internship and QLP. You do not have to do 9 hours. 4 hours counts for the both the programs
