Hi there! My name is Grace and i am part of the Wiki team. I am currently trying to build up a database of hotlines, chatlines and resources for both listeners and members. I am looking for resources from every country of the world for many different topics. See here

In order for the database of resources to be current we are looking for up to date resources that the 7 cups community use.

One of the topics on the Wiki is Addiction, I am wondering if anyone has any useful websites, hotlines or resources that they could share for me to add for this category or any other category?

Please feel free to message me or leave a comment here!

Thank you, Grace smiley

@Gracey Hello Grace, and thanks for reaching out!

Here are 2 hotlines (both US)

1. SAMHSAs National Helpline: For mental and/or substance issues
2. National Drug Helpline

In addition, the addiction support subcomm. has a forum thread of useful online sites dedicated to various addictions. Here is the most recently updated list: In-Person/Online Support Library

Thank you for all your hard work! :)

@lovelyWhisper66 Yes! SAMHSA is a great resources. Their helpline can help locate low-cost and sliding scale mental health and substance abuse treatment throughout the US.

@Gracey

SAMHSA is my number 1 go-to resource. But here are a few others:

Double Trouble in Recovery is a 12-step fellowship for people managing both a mental illness and substance abuse.

Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are 12-step groups for people recovering from alcohol or drug addiction. Be sure to find a group that understands the role of mental health treatment in recovery.

Smart Recovery is a sobriety support group for people with a variety of addictions that is not based in faith.

@Gracey

A good one you might want to add, if you haven't already is Tripsit. Tripsit has awesome harm reduction information, which includes chat services. Check it out here: https://chat.tripsit.me/

They also have a drug combination chart that people can use to check the safety profile of different drug mixes, which is really useful: https://wiki.tripsit.me/wiki/Drug_combinations

Plus they have a mobile app version as well, which makes it easy for people to asscess this kind of harm reduction information when they are out places where it may be harder to access a computer, like at a festival.
