Recommendation for therapist for addiction to games
I have an addiction to a particular game. It is akin to an alcohol/drug addiction because I (when addicted) play non stop without regard for consequences or eating and drinking. I want to find a counselor to break this habit, does anyone have recommendation for counselors here or elsewhere who I can talk to? Or any resource/book that may be useful?

I don't know about specific guides for games addiction ,but there are various guides on addiction and others like 12 step in the self help guides section , here as for therapy the 7 cups therapy is paid - 150$ a month for text based. So I'd suggest better to manually look around for therapy options around your place . Good luck 🧡

I actually know of a therapist who makes youtube video's that are mainly designed to help people with video game addictions, although he also covered a lot of other areas as well. I've actually found them to be very insightful, even though that is not what I am personally addicted to. If you want to check it out, the channel is called HealthyGamerGG. He had a gaming addiction himself when he was younger, and so he really seems to be able to understand and help those with that particular issue. I highly recomend checking out his channel:

Also, I just wanted to add, that he also is involved with doing life coaching, if that sounds like something that would benefit you (or anyone else reading this post).
