Changing your behavior is only half the battle; the other half is staying there.

58 to 71% of self-changers slip at least once in the first 30 day

I have come across an article that states if self-changers slip 3-6 times during their first 30 days. It suggest 90 percent of thei work is successful. Only the other ten percent needs some more effort

It's okay if you slip too. It’s simply not human nature to complete tasks flawlessly.

@toughTiger6481 yes Tiger , it's indeed sad. But that's just the way all of our brains prefer to work.

After slip/lapse it goes telling us something along the lines , " I have already established recovery is impossible in my case, why not just drop the whole plan and just continue to be the person I am".

Slips are part of the changing process; an obstacle to overcome rather than a road block. All of us will make plenty of them once we embark on our journey to recovery. It never suggestes that the task itself is impossible or that we are incapable.

Feeling embarrassed about the behavior is justifiable, but never be embarrassed about yourself as a person.
That's something many forget

It's hard to believe things like this when we are down. But it's necessary to atleast know that it's a fact
