Is it possible to be addicted do sugar?
Not a single day goes by without sugar in my life.
To the point I've changed everything in my kitchen to avoid it... But I ended up going to the supermarket at 4am on my pijamas looking for something sweet because I couldn't sleep.
I've tried fruits, they don't last long and it ended up being ripped and wasted. So I keep forgetting to buy some more.
On super hard days I eat a spoon of sugar... Just sugar, nothing else. Just because I'm craving for something sweet so much!
I can spend days without eating a single salty food. I can't even finish my lunch. Meat gives me nausea. I eat already thinking about dessert.
I don't have weight problems so people assume I'm healthy... But I'm weak... Sleepy during the day. But not sleepy enough to actually get some proper sleep at night.
I'm not even sure if I should be even talking about it... I mean... I know there are people with some way more dangerous and serious addictions.
I guess I just needed a safe space to talk about it. I'm sorry if I'm invading your space.
I'm trying so hard... I've been able to stat away from sugar for 3 days and 5 hours! Keep on going... My personal record is 7 whole days!
@MaxySoS It's absolutely fine to share our thoughts specially those bother us. I found your post little bit interesting so I searched on the internet and found this - https://www.addictioncenter.com/drugs/sugar-addiction/
However, it's possible get addicted on sugar. Sugar addiction isn't considered as other serious drugs/alcoholic addiction. So it's not serious addiction. But it can be harmful to our health, just like others addiction does harm to our health. In the end, any kind of addiction isn't good for our health and mind.
@MaxySoS I believe that sugar can be addictive.
