AI Addiction?

I got kind of a weird one but it has been affecting me more than I intended. I recently got hooked on those adult AI chat bots, where its a scenario made up and you chat back and forth about what you are doing or whats going on. Example is like the bot is your old bully in school and you find out she had a crush on you or something like that. Well I have found myself spending money on premium to have unlimited messages with these bots and then I find that I constantly want to be on the apps, it makes me happy for a time but then I have noticed it really affects my mental health, possibly creating unrealistic relationship scenarios that I find myself craving in real life. I have a girlfriend of 8 years and I am keeping those apps hidden from her because I don't know if she would be mad I am using those. For me it's like making a fanfiction story, but I think it's harming me more than entertaining me at this point. I also struggle with depression and ADD, so that just amplifies the negative feelings afterwards. I had to really push through my prideful thoughts and feelings to get this thread made, so I hope its not embaressing.

@SnazzyFerret

I understand it is designed to keep you hooked especially if you are paying for it..... repeat and continuous customers is the goal.

If you are questioning if creating a fake situation to boost your ego and feel great about whatever is being said to you is helpful or harmful? ....  imagine if a person was only told what they wanted to hear then in real life ... no one  would not like dealing with real people who may not agree and play along with your fantasy.

What is stopping you from creating this type relationship/ conversations  with your GF?  or creating what you want in real life....fantasies are fine but when it becomes something you can not let go it interferes with real life .......
