I am addicted to porn.
Hi. Id like to start off by saying this is something I struggle with constantly and I want to change and ive tried to stop with things like this so many times but It never seems to help. I am quite young and I feel I have this addiction due to not only stress in my life but also due to me being exposed to this when I was very little. I know I can stop but Im not sure how to go abiut that, everytime I have tired I just go back to it when life gets a little rough. I need help please

I know that you can stop!
And I think you are already close to realising the reason for the lack of success so far - most people need to develop an alternative strategy or strategies for those times when things get difficult first, before they will be successful.
Learning and managing triggers, support groups, therapy, affirmarions, urge surfing, there's plenty of options that can help.
Good luck. Every day you don't, is a day you haven't.

Hi, I will copy and paste exactly what i wrote on another post here (fourth time already). But lemme tell somehting before you read what i'm telling to some people that need help. How young you are? I also was exposed at a very young age (8yo), it was not a problem for year because I thought it was normal. But if you are younger than 25 somethings you be easier than if you are older.
It's tiresome, i get it, i excrutiating sometimes too. Also i know that is sad and lonely, but a lot of that fade when you let it go a little. Sometimes we can have little OCD when image pop on our head, i want you to try something: let the thought go. Don't fight with it. When the thought appears, breath and let it flow with others thought that you mind have, be that work, food or whatever, let this be just another thought.
The dog will bark at the distance, but he's on a leash, and won't bite if you not approach him.
Hi,
keep up the good fight. It will not be easy and is great that you are acknowledging that your have a problem. I believe that is the first step for us. I suffer from the same problem, altho' i believe mine is a little worse (thanks god this is not a competition, lol)
If you want to share more, please do.
But one thing that made more easier to fight this, was understand how porn and masturbation affects our body, mind, brain. For me reading "Your brain on porn" and "Wired for Intimacy" was very very good. If you are interested on how to fight this, read those book.
And, again, please, share more if you want and if you need. I will probably be here every single day starting next week. I'm here to help, if possible.
