@ClosedBook5356 hey, just came across this post. i could recommend this extention for you? it's called leechblock and blocks all the sites that you add to your list. i'm pretty sure there's an option to create a password to bypass it. if you want to take an extreme measure, and completely stop yourself from accessing such sites, im pretty sure it'll be of help!
you could set the password yourself or have someone set it for you so you can't bypass it.
Hey, i was actually considering this. It might actually be the best option rn. Thanks sm!
@ClosedBook5356 of course! glad to be of help :)

The fact that you want to stop is such an important step. It shows that what you're doing doesn't define who you are. It just means you're struggling with something really strong and compulsive. And that’s completely okay.
I understand that you're probably tired and frustrated with trying to quit over and over again. But there's no shame in that. If you've been fighting this for a while without success, it might mean it's time to take more radical steps. That can include blocking websites, removing triggers, or spending less time online. I know those are tough changes, and yeah, there will be moments when you override the blocks because the urge is so strong. But that doesn't mean you're weak. It just means the addiction is powerful.
That’s why it’s also important to work on yourself. Ask yourself: Why am I doing this? What triggers it? What can I replace it with? Whether it’s physical activity, connecting with people, listening to music,.... find something real that fills that space.
And don’t go through it alone - a lone soldier rarely wins the battle. Build your army. There are people out there, even here, who are going through the same thing. Connect with them, share your thoughts and experiences. Don’t isolate yourself.
And lastly, if you ever feel like you truly can’t manage it on your own, there are professionals out there who want to help. There’s absolutely no shame in reaching out. This addiction does not define you and the fact that you’re asking for help shows how strong you really are 💕
