I've been in recovery off and on for the past 20 years and have relapse about four times. My whole family has addictions so I was raised around it being okay to use substances.

I started drinking when I was 14 years old. The worst part of it was my mom didn't care just as long as I didn't or wasn't in her way.

Recovery can be joyful if you let it, for my mindset and sobriety i tend to think the opposite of how much my life is better because of my long journey and the other things I can accomplish down this road
